You Are Not a Stranger Here
Alan Watts on how we relate to the world.

Alan Watts once described us as waves rising from the ocean. We are not things placed in the world but emerge from it.
It is easy to live as though we are visitors here, separate from nature, history, other people, even our own bodies. But we did not arrive from somewhere else. We emerged from the same world we spend our lives trying to understand.
This kind of belonging is not something we have to earn.
